Wetsuits
Wetsuits have many uses which include snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, and lastly our favorite SCUBA Diving. Just about all wetsuits are interchangeable between most water sports.Your 3mm Shorty that you used for Scuba today in Bonaire can be used when you return home for wake boarding or water-skiing tomorrow.
A wetsuit must fit properly if being used to keep you warm.
Like air temperature, water temperatures through out the world differ in winter than they are in the summer, Water temperatures may vary as much varying as much as 20 degrees. In Caribbean the water temperature can be in the 80’s in the summer months and in the low 70's in the winder months.
If you are not sure, always buy a wetsuit slightly warmer than what you think you may need. Remember, if your wetsuit is keeping your body too warm, you can always let water in to cool yourself down. If you too cold and wetsuit in not keeping you warm, the only thing to do is stop diving.
One-piece wetsuits VS two-piece wetsuits
Two-piece wetsuits will keep you warmer than one-piece wetsuits as a two-piece wetsuit has double the insulation around the chest and groin. Remember, a two-piece wetsuit has double the insulation, and will be more restricting. You will also be more buoyant.
