Dive Computers
Dive Computers
Dive computers offer the diver a safer and convenient way of monitoring deco limits. A dive computer can calculate the diver's nitrogen according to the diver's depth and time, allowing for a diving profile that is more flexible than the profiles provided by dive tables. The dive computers of today display current depth, maximum depth, dive time, and records the divers profile throughout the dive. Having a dive computer can eliminate the need to have a pressure and depth gauge. Many other features of dive computers may include: audible and / or visual alarms, user replaceable batteries, the ability to download a record of the dive to a personal computer, and the number of hours before you should fly. Many air integrated computers allow the diver to set alarms for turn around pressure and low on air pressure. Many calculate time remaining for the dive based on air consumption. Hoseless diver computers transmit data data to the a wrist unti to elinate the high pressure hose. Hoseless dive computers streamline the divers equipment.
Hoseless / wrist dive computer
Hoseless / wrist dive computers can be mounted in a console, on the wrist. It can also be mounted on a retractor. All diver's have preferences and will generally choose the computers configuration.
Nitrox dive computer
Most dive computers are equiped for Nitrox. Nitrox allows a diver to use air or Enriched Air Nitrox. Nitrox dive computers offer many of the same feature as regular air computer. These dive computers can be programmed for mixture of Nitrox being used by the diver.
